Exploring Indigenous Art

This coming Tuesday, we’re grateful to have Elder Colin Walangari Karntawarra McCormack and teacher Safina Stewart speak with us about Indigenous art, the influence of their rich heritages in creating meaningful artwork and their personal experiences in the creative industry! Elder Colin Walangari Karntawarra McCormack is an Australian Aboriginal Artist, musician, teacher and performer who uses his spellbinding art as a means of cross-cultural communication. Safina Stewart is a Melbourne based Indigenous artist who uses vibrant colours and fluid line work to communicate meaningful stories. Join us this Tuesday 15th September at 6:30pm via Zoom for a chance to learn about our speakers and their stunning artwork! As emerging creatives, we want to make a positive impact on people’s lives, so we believe creating an environment of diversity and inclusion is extremely important.
